At the very tail end of the season finale they showed a small clip of Season 2. So it is already in the works.

Why is this on the History Channel? It doesn't sound very historical.
Are they at least covering the history of Alaska while the show is on?

If you Americans are wondering... most Canadian accents aren't that stupid sounding. Most of those guys are poorly educated Newfies who talk quite different than the rest of us.

I don't understand where skill comes into play here. There's no skill involved in thinking your smarter than the engineers and speed on the lakes. That's just stupidity.

Isn't Newfoundland on the other side of Canada from Yellowknife?

Most of the truckers are not from Yellowknife. I'm not saying they are from Newfoundland...but few of them are actually from Yellowknife.

The trucker with the most obvious accent was from there, IIRC. He works for Diavik in the offseason . . . hmm . . . can't remember his name. I thought most of the guys were from Western Canada except for that one who got suspended for speeding.

Alex is the one you are thinking of i think. He's also been doing it for...what was it...15 years or something? I dunno. I know one of the guys was from the US. I guess i don't really remember where most of the others are...but I wasn't saying they weren't from Western Canada...i was saying most weren't from Yellowknife.
Really? I thought the guy that quit and argued with the "polar bear" guy drove in the US all the time...Montana or Colorado or something. lol...guess i misunderstood. Maybe he just drove in the US all the time...but was Canadian. lol.Originally posted by: XMan
None of the truckers were from the US, it's illegal for non-Canadians to drive the ice roads. I checked for my father-in-law.
