I bought this generic case at a computer show. It does what it needs to do but the screw holes for holding my hard drive are off. You can see pictures here

Specifically Screw Hole

Does anyone know who makes this case? I got the other screw in mostly by brute force.

Also, There are two USB ports in the front of the case. I have wired them up and included a picture of them. The bottom one works, but when I plug anything in to the top one (even an cable not conected to anything) I get a Power Surge On Hub Port Error in windows. Any ideas what this could be?

Thanks

Possible that one of the internal USB cables is miswired. Just need to trace them back.

I traced the wires back to the front of the case. Nothing was labeled but it was in order. I tried moving the connection to a new USB port on the motherboard. The originally not working USB port worked where it was when I moved the working one. I then moved them together on the same connector and they both work. This has to be an ASUS thing.

Anyone know about the case?

It would seem to be a "Staples" case. This is easily identified by the "shim" on the bottom of the case. These help keep dust and dirt out of the case.

Man, I am sorry for being a wise ass, but why the heck did you link to 34 pictures when 2-3 would have been just fine? Jeez, talk about getting your question lost... Who the heck knows what you are talking about when we have 34 different pics to look at.

As for using brute force to align ANYTHING, I wouldn't. I would just use a drill or a file, etc... to just open-up or elongate the hole in question. Brute force tends to do more damage then good.

Staples only seems to sell Antec cases. Can you give me some more information?

As for all the pictures, You didn't have to look at all of them. I was trying to get all the important features to be as descriptive as possible. I also linked the to relevant pictures so you wouldn't have to weed through the rest. I was also trying to show the heatsink for another thread. Plus I was having fun with my camera.

-Thanks
