Idiot ram questions

currently im running a socket 939 A64 on my MSI K8N neo2 plat with a gig (2x512) of corsair value ram. anyways, since i like to play BF2 alot i want to upgrade to 2 gigs, but if i use all 4 slots then i get a 2t command rate. also, i remember people having problems on this mobo with 3 sticks. so, whats the best option? Either:

buy 1 512 and stick it in an extra slot,

or buy 2 512, get stuck with 2t

or buy 1xgig and stick it in an extra slot

or, scrap my current ram (ebay or something) and get 2xgig

also, i hope to keep the sticks same brand for compatability, and if you guys know the effects these solutions will have on overclocking, please comment.

Well, if you can afford, which doesn't seem to be an issue with the options you put out. Go with the 2 GB option.

I couldn't get 4 dimms (4x512 MB) stable on my Neo2, nevermind anything else.

But i think my case was rare.

2T isn't that bad.
It's a slight performance hit, but certainly not the end of teh world.

If you can, sell your 2x512 MB & get 2x1024 MB.

But 4x512 MB is fine too, if you can get it to work.
