Ok, this thread peaked my interest..so I downloaded and installed FireFox. So far so good. I have used previous version of "FireBird" and found them to be slow and crappy, but this seems better. I was wondering a few things:
Can I customize my mouse "gestures'? I want to be able to hold right click and then left click, to go back, and hold left click and click right click to go forward. I'm used to that.
Also, is it possible to move the tabs bar to the bottom of the browser window?

The fact is: all Windows PC's required IE to be installed, it's not an optional thing. I can get all the Firefox advantages with MyIE2, which is tiny. Never found a page it would not display, it never crashed or hung, very quick to start up. Reports of crashes will keep me from installing.
IE+MyIE2 >> FireFox > IE

I like mozilla better than firebird/firefox because of one simple thing:
why do they go back to having a separate toolbar for search?
the integrated 'url + search' toolbar they have in mozilla is a lot
easier and more efficient to use.
unless there is a way in firefox to change this?
I don't know what you're taking about but the search is easy to use. Just use the ctrl-k hotkey anytime.

never thought about hotkey, maybe that's the way to go in firebird/fox
anyway, just explaining what I meant, in Mozilla if you type anything in the address bar,
right down at the bottom you have "search Google for xxx (or whatever you type)" (I set
my Internet search to Google).
in Firebird the Internet search comes up in a separate toolbar, like Google toolbar for IE,
you have to [tab] to it to do a search.

tabbed browsing is horrible. I like all my programs visible in my taskbar. Its pretty obvious that many of you are just trying to bash Microsoft, especially with all the "oh IE isn't secure" bs. I spend 2 minutes once a week running windows update and I have never had any problems. Its one thing to like firefox but some of the reasons people are giving are rather lame. I install google toolbar once and then never again, I can't imagine someone being so pressed for time that they can't install google toolbar once.
IE works simple as that, I tried firefox and see no reason to switch.
IE is still better and how old is the code. Sure is taking a long time for other browsers to catch up.

i just started using Mozilla and here are a few things i dont like
1. you cant just right click on the picture and copy it to photoshop
2. when u want to open multiple threads with shift and right click it opens up an entire new Mozilla instead of using tabs
3. it seems a lot slower than IE
4. the text size keeps on changing, when i open a new tab window it goes back to 100% i want it to stay at 120%
5. plugins
other than that it seems OK

open multiple threads? just use the middle button or control+left click on the link.
