IIS + ASP + MS Access problems...

I have a new installation of IIS 5 (patched), Coldfusion Server 5 and Studio 4.5, and I'm trying to write to a MS Access database. It keeps telling me that the database is read-only, but it's NOT! I've gone into file properties, System DSN config, and even looked in Access for solutions but I can't find anything.

I have Windows 2000 with Office XP on this box, would that be it? I've converted the database to EVERY version available but it's still not workin. Any suggestions?

I can't really say but I'll throw something out:

Perhaps you're using the wrong cursor-type and when you try to update the recordset thats why it won't work?

You need to give the system write acces to the DB. It will be under security options. More appropiately the iis5 system account needs to have write access to it.

are the errors coming from Cold Fusion?

if accessing from pages within IIS, and the DB file is within your server directory tree, you may not have write access to those folders, this is a default security feature in IIS, move your DB to a directory not served by the IIS server.
