Well I thought it was impossible but my 3 year old 42 inch LCD Insignia brand TV got a bad case of image burn... had the web browser burned into it.
It was under Best Buy warranty but I don't think it was a covered problem. The tech who came out was cool and found other faults with my screen that resulted in the TV being returned for its full value that it was purchased at.
With my Best Buy store credit I bought an LG 47 inch LCD.
Do I need to worry about image burn on my new tv or was the image burn on my last set a fluke??
I have been using LCD monitors for years now without image burn so I have no clue why it would happen to a tv. For the record the owners manual came with a warning about image burn and how to prevent it.. and stated that its not a warranty covered issue.
I have Googled this with limited success... seems it kind of rare.
Thanks
Rich
