hey everyone i'm new to these forums. how is everyone?
I recently purchased a new pc and monitor, and noticed that I have image tearing on every game I play. Games like crysis, bad company 2, battlefield 2. I searched the net and found out about vertical sync, so I went into the nvidia control panel and turned it to 'force on' and it pretty much removed all of the tearing, everything looks smooth now. My question is...should I keep vsync on even when I'm not playing games? are there any disadvantages to it? or is there any other way to get rid of the tearing?
my specs:
windows 7 64 bit
intel i5 2500k 3.30 ghz
8 gb ram
gtx 560 ti superclocked
Asus VE228H monitor, connected by hdmi
