If you impeach him 100 days out, the argument will be that it wasn't legal to do it out of office, it was just vengeance, etc. There will always be those vehemently against it. The threat of violence is ALREADY here, and has BEEN here for months.
It is legal to impeach out of office, there i nothing in the constitution that states otherwise.
Hey, you're entitled to your opinion. My opinion, based on history, is that conservatives, and more specifically magatarians, dgaf about your fire truck and are gonna burn it down anyways.

You got a lot of hope, I'll give ya that, but hope doesnt change people's nature.
No, I have a lot of skill with dealing will people and volatile situations. Nothing to do with hope. You never react on emotion, and that is what impeaching him now is, and it will just fuel the problem and escalate it more.

He's committed multiple impeachable offenses, so meh. You not wanting to do it because your afraid of people's violent response is how they want you to respond to their terrorism, it's why they do it.

MAGA's are going to lose their shit either way when Biden is actually Sworn in, because they still don't believe it.

Then they will argue on "how legal" it is or not. There's always something. ALWAYS.

The Senate will still probably acquit him if that makes you feel any better or not.

I had someone send me a screenshot of some tweet that someone on the right's sending out. The tweet was saying something about how stuff is going on in DC and that ATC has shut down flights around Washington DC and the national guard has been deployed. They were asking me if something was going on. You can see the current status of restricted airspace online pretty easily.

1. National guard was deployed last week due to the riots and is still in DC keeping the peace to my knowledge.
2. ATC has a nofly zone over DC and it's been that way since 2003 on a temporary basis and then it was made permanent basis in 2008.

I'm dumbfounded that so many people are gullible enough to provide these idiots with more shares, likes, views or whatever else to monetize their following and get people riled up.

I never said anything about NOT wanting to do it, so stop making shit up. This is about impeaching him now or in 100 days. I am just voicing why waiting 100 days would be the best path. Doing it now will escalate the current situation, waiting 100 days won't. Plain and simple.

This is something where emotion SHOULD play a part in the decision. I'm a fucking old fart...and NEVER in my life did I expect to see such a thing happen. Some 3rd world banana republic shithole? Sure...but in the USA? Abso-fucking-lutely not.
Congresscritters who supported and/or joined in should be expelled...and potentially charged with sedition.
Trump should be impeached by the House immediately. If we have to wait until after the Dems have a majority in the Senate...so be it...but the Repubs should put their adult pants on and convict him AND EXPEL HIM this week.

So you agree we should escalate it, which will most likely result in a full blown civil war? That is really what impeaching him immediately will do, guarantee a civil war. waiting the 100 days may prevent a civil war.

Yeah, my Trumpie family are going crazy on FB and listing alternative social media sites where as they can... GET OUR FREEDOM OF SPEECH BACK. But something very weird is also going on that people should be aware of, Trumpies are referring to """"A LITTLE BIRD"""" giving direction to the Trump base. They are labeling this A LITTLE BIRD and THE LITTLE BIRD, as in a little bird told me this or a little bird told me that. So I figure something up with these people AGAIN. I figure they are planning something for the week of January 20th or the day of January 20th and this is their way of spreading it around amongst one another.

That doesn't hold water. Right now there is a solid reason fresh in everyone's mind. 100 days from now, it looks like you are pointlessly dredging up an old wound, impeaching a president who isn't even in office.

Either way, it's no up to us. We should have a better idea tomorrow if they are going fast track it.

Won't make a difference, that's my (and others) point. Magatarians see Trump as a martyr now, and later. Impeach him asap, you don't have to agree.

This has nothing to do with having a solid reason or not to impeach because you are right there is a solid reason. It's about the reaction of the citizens and what will take place. The aftermath of an immediate impeachment. 45% of the republican's believe that the attack on congress was justified. That is 1/4 of the United states population. That is a dangerous amount. Do you think there is a solid reason to impeach Trump? There wasn't just breaches and attacks on Congress, in Washington state, a few hours after the attack started in DC, there was a group of Trump supporters (some armed) that surrounded and gained entrance to the Governor's property (he's a democrat). It only lasted about a half hour, nobody was hurt, but the point is, it's not just a volatile situation in DC. There is more to this than an impeachment, what that means for Trump, and holding him accountable now vs 100 days from now. It's much much bigger than that. Personally he needs to be tried for Treason and hopefully convicted.

See my above response, it's much bigger than Trump and/or impeaching him. Waiting will make a difference between Having a Civil war and not having a civil war.

That's your opinion. And my opinion is that you're worried about the violence from terrorists so you change your behavior. They win.

I am worried about a Civil War breaking out, which can be avoided by waiting the 100 days.. I'm not saying Don't impeach him. Just agree that we should wait 100 days.

Right, so you're worried about an violent terrorists, and behavior changes accordingly. Personally, I think it's better to do it right now, with the terrorists feeling the burn.

You will be playing right into their hands because a Civil War is what these Terrorists want. Right now, with tensions high, we already have people talking about breaking up and separating states into two different countries: Republican's and Democrats. AS I told you, this is much, much bigger than Trump and impeaching him. You are only looking at a sliver of the big picture.

So your're in favor of appeasement in the face of terror, noted, and strongly disagreed with.

Also you have nothing but guesses on any Civil war chances. Impeachment as the fuse here seems like a total red herring. Trump was impeached once already and his followers didn't react at all.

There is a REAL fuse event coming soon, and that's the Biden Inauguration, that is going to cause many to lose their minds.

So your chicken little routine here, seems lacking in justification. I am MUCH more worried about the Inauguration than impeachment.

Maybe if you were worried about that too, you would just suggest letting Trump run the country for another 100 days, to keep his supporters happy. Maybe King Trump for Life, then a family dynasty. Have to keep appeasing the Trump supporters...

We need a new poll. That one was from the same day of the attack, before it was known that a police officer died, and most pictures looked like cos-players yukking it up. Much more detail of both the dead officer, and how viscous the assault on police was in general has emerged, along with an outpouring of outrage. I bet you get big difference in results from a new poll.

If Congress waits the 100 days, it will be moot. Trump will be out of office. The "You lost, get over it. Fuck your feelings" crowd needs to take their own advice. Their president incited a riot...perhaps even fomented sedition. He needs to be impeached, removed from office and charged criminally.

You can't break the country up in a civil war. MOST of the country is varying ahades of purple than actual red and blue.
Our country has a long-standing policy of not negotiating with or placating terrorists. Public executions seem appropriate dor any who commit these kinds of treasonous activities.

Where did I say I was in favor of appeasing anyone? I just agree that we should wait the 100 days. People need to take look a little beyond the moment.

The first impeachment wasn't personal. This impeachment will be personal to every Trump supporter out there. Completely different situation.

You say you are worried about the inauguration, yet ignore how doing an impeachment now will escalate the voidance at that inauguration.

Where are you getting this "let Trump run the country for another 100 days to make his supporters happy" crap? you do realize that McConnel already said that the senate won't do anything until the 19th unless it was 100% agreed. Which means the impeachment won't happen until after the 20th anyways, so you are making mute points.

You think the polls will change? Then you don't fully see the big picture and the effects Trump's lies have already had on our society.

We need the 100 days so people can be reminded how a real leader runs things, how a real leader brings people together, not divide them. Our nation is like a broken jar right now. Impeaching him this week will be like putting a grenade inside that broken jar. The 100 days will allow some of those cracks to disappear, and the impeachment wont' be a grenade.

But, we will see.. If they chose to impeach him now (It will only be in the House, as the Senate won't be back until the 19th), I hope I am wrong.

I never said it was possible to separate the states, I said that is what people are talking about. But you are right, we have a lot of purple now. I never said a CIVIL war was to divide those states, specially since a civil war is intrastate that can take place inside a state or a country. (in this case it will be inside each states and the country) Which means the CIVIL WAR will be in the streets of all these purple states with citizens fighting with each other, and those who don't' want to fight will be pulled into it. People need to take the blinders off. As I said, this is bigger and more dangerous than most realize.

I agree 100%, I just believe waiting the 100 days to do it, would be best with the current "temperature". I am hoping he gets tried and convicted for Treason, because we are way past sedition or an attempted coup.

You want to make concessions because you fear aggression.

That's exactly what appeasement is.

Waiting 100 days accomplishes only one thing, it closes the window of opportunity on Impeachment.

Definition of appease
transitive verb

1: PACIFY, CONCILIATE
especially : to make concessions to (someone, such as an aggressor or a critic) often at the sacrifice of principles
appeased the dictator by accepting his demands
Placaters, who try hard to appease others so as to keep the peace, fear getting hurt in some way.
