Inconsistent Ping Gaming

I'm in a bit of a pickle.

You see, I live in Dubai and the internet here is really overpriced. Right now we're paying 450 AED/Mo (122.52 USD) for a 10Mbps download and 2Mbps Upload speed. I'm an excessive gamer and living in Dubai doesn't help. I can't play games like DayZ because there are no servers in Asia/Middle east. I have the hardware to push it but I get around 150-1000 ping depending on the server location.

Birds eye -

I know there's nothing I can do there but move to a more gamer friendly region. But there is a couple games that have Dubai servers like CSGO. and for that very reason, I play it a lot. I get around 5-15 ping on most days but the ping is very inconsistent. It goes to 100-500 ping every 15 minutes. I don't think it's server lag because my friends pings stay the same. I think its because I'm playing on a wireless connection. My router is in the living room and my PC is in my room. I was thinking of getting an Ethernet cable but that's too impractical because I'd need a 20-50 meter cable running through the middle of the house.

The next option I see is to move the router. It costs 100 AED for the ISP to get a technician to come over and move it and then I can purchase a 10M Cat6 cable from the router to my PC. My parents won't spend any more money for my gaming needs so I have to spend it on my own money that I saved up.

Do you guys think I should go for the latter or the the long arse Ethernet cable through my house. Or is there another option?

Thanks for taking the time to read it I really appreciate it.
Quick replies are needed thanks

Assuming you're not comfortable just moving the router yourself, the cleanest and cheapest solution here (and the one your parents are most likely to let you do) is to drill a small hole in wall near the floor behind whatever piece of furniture that router is sitting on and run a regular old cheapo cat6 patch cable from the router to your PC.

It's not ideal, but it doesn't have a patch cable running through your living room for people to trip over and it only costs a couple bucks.

Still, there are dozens of reasons that you could be getting those ping spikes when your friends dont. I'd try moving your PC out next to the router and plugging it in directly to make *sure* it's a wireless issue before punching anything through the wall, just to be safe.
