well all this fighting is pretty pointless between pakistan and india. It's only a matter of time before pakistan finally tips the iceberg and pushes india over the edge. Then, and i hope it won't ever happen, india will releash its fury on pakistan. With the negativity surrounding pakistan, they could get away with this with much less criticism.

dood... did a Paksitani steal your GF from you or something? or were you raised in some BJP infested pind?

<< HHHMMM.................I AM GONNA ANSWER EVERY STUPID THING U HAVE RAISED A QUESTION ABOUT !!!!
AND THEN ....please shut up !!!
>>

Typical, you say alot of S-, but support NOTHING. I've given you HARD facts. I've taken excerpts from probably the premiere book on history of the south-asian subcontinent. What have you done to support your argument? Anyone with half a brain would realize that when another person states facts from proven sources, you best do the same or you windup looking like a moron. Maybe I should have realized this before hand before getting into this with a dumb-ass.

I have Wolpert to back me, and you have constipation. I guess calling me stupid will reresurect your decomposing argument.

I guess, I outta' ask again... where are your elusive facts? And no, you may not pull them outta your ass or anyone else's ass.

<< U r wrong there......INDIA is a democracy whereas Pakistan is NOT !!! It's various things depending on who is ruling. Right now it's ruled by the military.....so that makes it a MILITARY JUNTA' >>

Since when does a Democratic government equate to no corruption. Apparently, you're stupid or blind... which is it? I gave you the link stating that India is no less corrupt than Pakistan. Musharaf might be a military ruler, but he has done a great deal to reduce the rampant corruption in the country. Get back to me when the same can be said about India.

<< KASHMIR HAS BEEN AND ALWAYS WILL BE a part of India.
I can cite hard facts of history to you....but to cut it short. During partition India was divided into 3 parts - India,Kashmir and (Pakistan + Bangladesh).
>>

You wouldn't know a hard fact from your ass.

No, you idiot, do you forget Hyderabad and Junagadh? These were independant provences rules by MUSLIM rulers that India invaded and ousted to absorb them in it's stupid framework. Do you have a problem with facts? Are you so blinded by your daddy's pro-india rhetoric that you REFUSE to believe in the truth? Orwell wrote a book about this... I suggest you go read that and learn to think for yourself.

Oh yeah, PLEASE cite hard facts.... and please give your sources... and make sure they are reputable recognized sources... not some backwater indian professor who's a card-carrying member of the BJP.

<< Due to the barbaric treatment of it's populace Bangladesh be'cam independent and India has always been blamed by Pakis for that. They always sort of tend to be blind to the # of rapes , murders and atrocities committed on Bangladesh. >>

*yawn*

You've made a serious allegation. Now, support it asshole. I want to see a reputable historical account for your tale of barbaric treatment.

You want to hear about barbaric treatment you stupid bitch... stay tuned for my next installment detailing the state sponsored attrocities India enjoys against the people of Kashmir... it's no wonderr they want to leave that pittful nation's bounds.

<< Kashmir tried to stay Independent till Pakistan tried to send it regular army dressed as tribals to take over Kashmir. >>

Stupid F-, didn't you READ what I submitted? There was an uprising against the hindu landowners by the Muslim pesants they were exploiting. Pathan tribesmen, if you know anything about the ethnic makeup of the northern areas you'll know that these people share ancestory, came to the aid of their Muslim brethern. The ruler of Kashmir feared that he'd lose his reign and allowed India to annex his kingdom because he wanted to maintain rule.

<< And Kashmir did fight for a while but then knowing that it would lose - it asked India for help and in return agreed to be a special state of India.
Pakistan's only claim to Kashmir is that it is a muslim majority state.Which I think is a joke !!
>>

No, it was because the then ruler of Kashmir S-ed in his pants when he saw his people revolting against him.

Hello, McFly is anyone home. Kashmir is 80% Muslim you dingle-F.

The claim is the original agreement when the two nations were split... that the denizens of the region would decide which side they wanted to join. But India, took whatever the hell it wanted.

<< We have more muslims in India than pakistan has.....and some of them are even patriotic !!!!!! >>

Well don't you get a f-in gold star? I bet it gives you a stiffy when you see them waving flags.

<< Who the FU*K is he ??? What authority does he have to write on India or for that matter Pakistan !!!
Can he ever feel the pangs of partition .....if not ....he is living in a dream. The roots of the problems existing today were sown then and in the birth of Pakistan as an Islamic Republic. It was a country meant only for muslims and most of us were glad to see the riff-raff go !!!
>>

Hang on, are you calling Muslims "riff-raff"? Please explain the above remark.

Other than that you killed your rebuttal. I suggest you go crawl back in you hut and get back to chewing your toenails... because you don't know how to do much else. Stanley Wolpert is a professor of South Asian Studies at UCLA... he is one of the, if not the foremost, authority on the region. The fact you don't know who he is indicates you don't know S- about South Asian History, which would explain all your stupid conjecture and the lack of one single iota of proof to back your silly ranting.

BTW... Wolpert has been around ALOT longer than you.... and he was in India long before you. He knows a hell of a lot more than you or your bastard generations ever will... so sit the F- down and shut the F- up you dumb-ass bitch.

<<

<< Kashmir, Hyderabad and Junagadh were three states under rule of a monarch. Kashmir was overwhelmingly Muslim, but had a Hindu ruler while Hyderabad and Junagadh where primarily Hindu with a Muslim ruler. >>

Well, I will concede you that - you do have done some homework on this !!!
But the facts are slightly different. You are basically right on Hyderabad......but what you fail to mention that it was a very small region right in the middle of India.
With one Pakistan on our border ....our leaders then could anticipate the problems of the future.....they certainly did not want to create 1 more right in the middle of India.
I want you to think how that little place would have fared ???
Wouldn't it have gone the way Bangladesh did !!!???
So many others would have to suffer ....like the Bangladeshis did.
>>

I know my S... you on the other hand don't know jack S-. I bet you work for the Indian Ministry of Idiocy, BS, lack-of-education and wrong-information. Apparently, you didn't know anything about either region, since you didn't offer a rebuttal in your previous remark talking about how the area was divided into "3 territories".

<< AND - Pakistan was a grave mistake , a concession made by Gandhi etc. - maybe he was wise beyond our understanding.....for even if Pakistan agreed to join us today - as some of their leaders like Nawaz Sharif are fond of saying.....the citizens of India will never agree.
We don't want them, nor their land and actually we don't want to have to do anything with them !!!!
It's our misfortune that we share a border and a sad history with them.
>>

Please, please, please stop talking. You don't know ANYTHING you are talking about... you are so f-in pig ignorant and stupid... why are you talking? It's like arguing partical physics with a remedial 6th-grader who insists you are wrong and he knows everything.

Can someone please tell me how you shut someone up who doesn't know S- but thinks he doesn?

First of all, the partition was not up to Gandhi... it was up to the British, led by Queen Victoria's Great-Grandson... Lord Louis Mountbatten. You don't even know this much... pathetic.

First of all, there was no "concession" made by Gandhi. Gandhi was a great man who tried until his last breath to keep the country as a whole. He was very against the partition. How could one who was against the split make a "concession" for a split?

Read this asshole: (A New History of India, 4th edition, pg 351. )

Gandhi was "deeply huret" by the Lahore Resolution, denoucing it as a call for the "vivesection of India." He appealed to Muslims' "good sense" and "self-interest" to desist from "thje obvious suicide" that partition would mean.

Gandhi preached for unity not division. Sheesh, you don't even know Gandhi's position.

Jinnah made the following remark at his presidential address in Lahore, "The Hindus and Muslims belong to two differnt religious philosophies, social customs, and literatures. They neither intermarry or interdine together and indeed, they belong to ttwo differnt civilizations."

Gandhi's reply was that a "two-nation" system wasn't true. "The vast majority of Muslims of India are converts to Islan or are decendants of converts. They did not become a separate nation as soon as they became converts."

It's people like you that really fuel that hatred between both nations... what's worse is you perpetuate this hatred out of sheer ignorance. You don't know S-, learn something asshole.

<< I replied to this in just 4-5 lines at the start ....even before I had read this !!!
And Pakistan is trying the same thing with Afghanistan today.......it's settling a lot of it's people on Afghan land and unless the Afghan people wake up to the reality and join forces .....they will be losing a lot of land !!!
>>

WTF?!??!?! Were you dropped on your head as a child and then bluggenoned?!!?!?!!? Oh man you are sooo friggin stupid.... please please please stop. Where did you get this bull-S from? Sheesh, when dealing with such stupid people as yourself... I think it's safe to repossess your right to talk.

Sheesh, you need to have an emergency lobotomy... what friggin manic episode do I find you in today. This is such BS... It's a totally random remark that was pulled out of thin air.

Dood... we are arguing FACT here... please leave your fiction for your ESL classes.

<< This info. can be read about almost anywhere on the net !! >>

On what sites... sites that dumb-f assholes like yourself put up spreading bull-S?

<< LMK if u want to know the x-act sites !!!!! >>

Oh hell yeah... I am WAITING... and please REPUTABLE sites... not some BS that you will make yourself on geocities because you S-ed in your pants that I called you on this.

I'm not gonna ask if you're F-in stupid... because you PROVE it time and time again...

Thank goodness noone is cursed with your stupidity.

Do you forget that people are LEAVING Afghanistan and trying to come to Pakistan? Did you ignore all the news, stating how big of an Afghani refugee crisis Pakistan is involved in right now... one of the world's largets refugee crisises (#2, after the palestinainan crisis). The Afghanis have the world's largest refugee population.

Paksitan has harbored over 2-million Afghani refugees.

Here I'l give you sites... you don't even need to ask...

BBC's links of the Afghani reguee crisis involving Pakistan
Paksitan's fear of Refugee Flood
Thousands cross into Pakistan illegally
Paksitan to evict 100,000 Afghans
Paksitan to let in 2-million refugeest

"Human Rights Watch also urged the international community to address the mounting humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan with increased support for relief operations in Afghanistan and Pakistan by humanitarian aid agencies. Pakistan is host to 1.2 million refugees - the second largest refugee population in the world."
link

Man you are one big dumb bastard... now I see why people advocate abortions.

<< This is all hog-wash .......cos' you have very cleverly tried to skip the Shimla Agreement......that is where it is decided that there would be nothing of this sort and that kashmir will be a part of India.
The Pakistani government has signed that agreement with coercion !!!!
>>

What the F?!?!!? It calls for a plebicite in Kashmir... do you even know what that means you peindoo F-? Why does India REFUSE to grant the people of Kashmir the right to determine their own future you asshole?

<< I will seriously suggest you to read up a little more history before starting a debate like this !!! >>

Okay, this by far was the most stupid and outrageous statment.

I study history written by experts. I follow current events.

What the hell do you do? You offer rebuttals based on fiction and S- that you've pulled outta' yer ass? You don't even know what history means.

I've PROVEN everything i've said... you yet have to prove ANYTHING you've said.

Please... shutup... and crawl back under your rock.

<< lol, stay calm everyone. >>

Trust me... the issue of Kashmir is really volitile... at least you can get an Israeli and Palestinian together to discuss the occupation w/o anyone throwing fists... but when you get a Pakistani mentioning an independant Kashmir to an Indian or an Indian saying that Kashmir will forever be India's to a Pakistan... someone's gonna get cracked.

<< This thread is funny. Xyyz, are you Pakistani? >>

I'm glad we can provide some comedy... ;p

How do I answer this... well Pakistani indicates nationality...

I'm an American, who happens to have a linenage that extends from provence of Punjab in Pakistan. So ethnically i'm punjabi, and nationally I'm american... but since I pretty much decended from a part which can be found in Pakistan, I have great sympathy for Pakistan.

<< Most reports I've read state that India has the larger nuclear arsenal. Also, I find it sad that you endorse the use of nuclear weapons. >>

Actually, there's a report put out by the state department or the DoD that says that Pakistan's nuclear arsenal is far superior to India's. Don't quote me on it though.... lemme find it just to be sure.

btw... please don't listen to fruity-indian's retort of this remark... that boy needs to plant is ass on a nuke.

<< I think this problem will probably never be solved b/c the issue is too nationalistic or something in each nation (I'm guessing). I however don't believe a region should separate just because it has a different religions makeup. >>

The thing is that durring the time of Akbar, everyone got along fabulously, but then Akbar was truly great (no pun intended... Akbar means great), becacuse he knew how to keep a balance... the second in command of the Mughal Empire was a Hindu by the name of Todar Mal (my ex-gf swears she's decendant from him, counld be since her granddaddy was a really famous indian singer)... so it is possible for people to get along.

It's people like dumb-ass here that will prevent anything benificial from happening between the two.

It's really werid though... when you cross the border... and you head to the smaller towns... there's no difference between Pakistan and India (experienced it myself) it's just the stupid adminstration that keeps everyone thinking that they are so different.

If you wanna see something really cool... you should see the ceremony between the Indian and Pakistan border guards close to the border in Lahore. When the ceremony is performed the two sides seem to be perfectly amicable neighbors.

<< I think that he has in his limited intelligence and a deep hatred of India being splewing a lot of venom here...... >>

Actually, I am always yelled at because when the the elders get together and start to bash india... I come in and try to offer a fair argument in support of india. this is something that you'd never be able to do... not because you don't have the desire... but because you don't have the ability.

I have limited intelligence? I think you need to take more of your medication. You're obviously confused. I'm arguing fact... you are arguing fiction...

I think you're borderline no intelligence.

It's funny how you talk alot of crap about the intellectual state of someone, when your own intellectual state... well it hasn't been founded yet.

<< If you want a correct perspective of History....please read more about it and try not to quote just 1 person......it's as if u don't have attitudes of your own and are relying on someone else to put words in your mouth. >>

At least I QUOTE SOMEONE. You haven't supported a SINGLE statement... you've just gone on and on and on with fiction claming it as fact. To an educated person, when an unsupported comment is put up against one that is supported... the unsupported comments gets laughed at.

Yeps, you're being laughed at again... high school revisited eh?

Stanely Wolpert's book is pretty much the text used in MANY univeristies for South Asian history. It's clean, unbiased, and well organized and provides ALOT of detail.

please, how about you READ history... and support your argument with at least ONE quote!!!

when you do these things... then you can critisize me... until then please... hushup.

<< FACTS : >>

You should stop using this word... you obviously hold no value to it's meaning.... I bet you don't even know what it means.

<< 1. Pakistan is an Islamic country - it was created just because some misguided muslims thought that they would be better off by themselves......but a lot DID NOT - and they stayed back. >>

I agree there were some hot-headed people much as yourself... that wanted Pakistan. Now we have lots of problems and people like you are very happy.

<< 2. It has NUCLEAR WEAPONS but all those were given by the Chinese or designed with large Chinese inputs. Still it cannot match what we have. >>

Wrong again stupid F-.

This is for canofworms as well....

pakistan's nukes outstrip india's, officails say
The NBC Leak on India-Pakistan Nuclear Weapons Status
india abrod link

indian sources doing the reporting... since I can't find the original NBC document.

<< 4. If there is a Nuclear War at any time.....what you should rem' is that you can waste maybe 4-5 cities of ours....we are too big for you guys but where will Pakistan be on this earth ??
We have enough to blow u out of existance.
>>

I suggest you do the reading again... you'll see that the Pakistani system is much more sophisticated than the Indian... your delivery system is about as advanced as tying a nuke to a rajasthani camel's back.

<< 5. U have fought 3 major and many smaller wars with us - AND LOST EVERYTIME !!! WILL U NEVER LEARN ?? >>

There's no doubt that india will win a conventional war because of it's overwhelming numerical advantage. Pakistan isn't interested in how to win a war against India, because it's not feasable.

India's main threat is China... which mind you, is allied with Pakistan in the region.

How come India hasn't done anything about the territory that China confiscated? Hell, India doesn't even talk about China.

This is another topic... consider India and China... both are in the same league population wise... and both came into creation about the same time... both have a long history and complex culture... yet look how India the "beacon of democracy" has faired compared to china "the evil communists." It's night and day.

I guess India has a small inferiority complex... and must continuously badger it's smaller neighbor to feel good about itself... but again, this is only a passing thought.

<< 6.Pushing in terrorists and Mujahideen is never going to get you eith Kashmir or Punjab - U just have to learn to live without them !!!! >>

I think India needs to worry about it's own Punjab sittuation. You're lucky that the Sikh independance movement isn't in full swing or you've have another provence to worry about when it came to independance...

<< 7. THIS IS A PERSONAL REMARK FOR YOU :
Please moderate your words....there is no cause to abuse anyone here.....and those are some nasty words you have been using.
How would you feel if some-one calls you a "KATUA" everytime he replies.....or maybe something worse ???
>>

You took the words right outta my mouth... you are totally acting like a jackass... quit and i'll stop talking down to you.

<< BE INTELLIGENT !!!! >>

You are forbidden from using this word until you understand what it means to "be intelligent."

I suggest you fully understand the meaning of the word.

ad hom·i·nem (hm-nm, -nm)
adj.
Appealing to personal considerations rather than to logic or reason: Debaters should avoid ad hominem arguments that question their opponents' motives.

Now please explain how this relates to critical thinking?

here:

Ad hominem has also recently acquired a use as a noun denoting personal attacks, as in ?Notwithstanding all the ad hominem, Gingrich insists that he and Panetta can work together? (Washington Post). This usage may raise some eyebrows, though it appears to be gaining ground in journalistic style.

That should address your usage of the word... it's a recent usage that's becomming acceptable... but not all the way yet.

I have done plenty to support my argument... while he's done nothing... which is why the attacks come into play. Besides... he started it...

<< BTW, anyone find it ironic that Pakistan calls for a vote in Kashmir yet Pakistan is run by a military dictator? >>

About as ironic as the fact that India "A Bastion of Democracy" denies them.

Here's a little on what Gen. Anthony Zinni (you know the guy that's trying to broker peace in the mid-east... by no means a lightweight) said about this "dictator."

Following the October 12, 1999 military coup in
Pakistan which toppled the government of former Prime Minister
Sharif, the dynamics of our relations with Pakistan,
traditionally a strong U.S. partner in both military and
peacekeeping operations, have changed dramatically. While a
return to a democratically elected government remains an
important U.S. strategic interest, the reality of an interim
period of military and technocratic rule in Pakistan seems
inevitable. Because of the historic importance of the military
as a source of stability within the country, I believe that
isolating Pakistan=s influential military establishment is, and
will continue to be, counter-productive to our long-term
interests in the region.
When the U.S. isolates the professional
Pakistani military, we deny ourselves access to the most powerful
institution in Pakistani society. This may hamper our
nonproliferation and counter-terrorism efforts. Furthermore, in
the larger strategic sense, Pakistan can play a stabilizing role
in the region.
It is important to note that because requirements in U.S.
legislation have not been met, Pakistani participation in many
programs has been limited or curtailed since 1990. As a result,
we are rapidly losing contact with a generation of Pakistani
military officers who are now serving in key leadership
positions. Given the strong role played by the armed forces in
Pakistani society, losing this contact weakens our influence with
many of their key military leaders and government policy-makers.
I know Chief Executive General Pervez Musharraf well and have
spoken to him on several occasions since his assumption of power.
I believe that our strategic interests in South Asia and beyond
will be best served by a policy of patient military-to-military
engagement, as it effects difficult, internal reforms.

General Zinni's Report

I wonder what the Bush administration will decide on a long-term basis considering this.

<< KASHMIR HAS BEEN AND ALWAYS WILL BE a part of India. >>

That's a 'hard fact'? If the UN would like to take a fair poll and referendum on this subject, let the people decide. It's moronic absolute statements like this that start trouble. The maharajah of a country does not necessarily have the right to decide for his people where the country should be align, unless you figure asking one or two people to decide for the entire country is a good idea.

<< And I was wondering......why are the muslims fighting everywhere ???

When will they be finally civilized ???

When will they realize that the world is in a modern age and not in the middle ages ??
>>

Way to stereotype. Fact is both countries have a lot of growing up to do. It's always the same. Pakistani people think it's so bad 'over there', and Indians think it's terrible 'over there'. They've got a lot more in interest than differences.

If you decide to respond, please do it in READABLE paragraphs, please.

<< 2. It has NUCLEAR WEAPONS but all those were given by the Chinese or designed with large Chinese inputs. Still it cannot match what we have.

3. Pakistan Nuclear Science is limited to just possessing a few BOMBS.....India uses Nuclear Power in a variety of Civilian use incld. generating electricity !!!
>>

The entire point of your post here is stupid, should be compare dick sizes next? Let me clear up a few misconceptions quickly, though.

Pakistan bought a nuclear reactor from Canada's AECL back in the seventies with the promise not to use it in a nuclear weapons program. That agreement was probably broken twenty seconds after the reactor went online. India did exactly the same thing about 5-7 years earlier. The ability to DELIVER a nuclear payload by missile is one that India has a distinguished lead, although I kind of doubt a Pakistani or Indian agent would really have that hard a time escorting a nuclear payload into either country by ground.

By definition, both countries have nuclear reactors.
