Not trying to be a downer, but it's cheap like that because it's steel cased. Still 500rds for 78 bucks is pretty nice.

Yep, should feed just fine. Ive never had an issue with steel/aluminum cased ammo. $78 for 500 rounds of plinking/range ammo is very good. Tough to beat that.

She wont even try it in any of her 3 pistols at the range
Nobody she works with will even use it for free.

There is nothing wrong with using steel cased ammo. The problem with steel cased ammo is people use it, then switch to brass cased and that's when things get stuck.

Steel cased ammo doesn't expand, so more of the residue from the burning powder gets in the chamber. And it builds up. The laquer on the steel cased ammo is supposed to prevent the cases from sticking. The problem occurs when you start shooting brass cased ammo. The brass cases expand. that expansion plus the excess carbon build up = stuck casing.

For range plinking Steel Case is fine if you don't mix it with brass case, and you clean after your trip.

A lot of ranges don't accept this type of ammo, at least around here. But if you shoot outside its no problem.

Russian ammo makers don't use lacquer coating anymore. The two major plants use polymer coating. They are the OEM for WOLF. The other minor plants use zinc plated or copper wash for their case.

The only guns that you probably shouldn't use Russian or other cheap ammo in are those custom make match grade pistol or rifle. Those usually have very tight head space and chamber.

..but hey, if you can afford a $2000+ rifle or pistol, why are you using cheap ammo with it?

I don't think any new manufactured ammo is going to be using corrosive components.

If it comes out of Russia it could. New 5.45x39 stuff is corrosive.
