Friend of mine who signed up for the $100 reseller deal is getting the run-around. They took his money and then claimed that they were all caught up with ALL orders made after his order was made. Yet, a week later and a few entries in their trouble ticket system and they are now claiming that they are still working on the reseller accounts and that he should give them another 4-5 days.

It's probably because they are building the new P4 servers that will host the new AYW and reseller plans?that's the news anyway. Some folks are pretty anxious to be put on these new servers so they're willing to wait. Apparently, it will probably be another day or two (the latest) for them to setup the recently ordered AYW and reseller plans.

I am not passing any judgment, and offer this only as information, but on their site are pictures of their new data center. This is a picture of one of their Plesk servers that is running a bunch of our sites. As I said, only in passing.

Devistator: "I'm guessing because it got to crazy with personal attacks and trolls posting in it."

I know the thread got locked because it was out of hand but I never posted information on Cyberwings to be a troll. Asking where a company is incorporated is not a personal attack either. If a company/CEO makes claims that hold no water, I figured it was my duty to let AT users know about this before they got potentially suckered. Shawn's primary response to my questions of where/how he was incorporated was that I was pathetic and that he would post his corporate information scans online. Did he ever post that information online? Maine still seems to have no record of the company.

People seem to be happy with their hosting service so something must be working. I won't be offering any more information I find on the company because I don't think my mailbox can take the flames anymore. Good luck to all you trusting folks on this hot? deal.

aside, i don't think they are making any money right now. THAT DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE RUNNING A SCAM.

lots of companies go red for a while before they make any money. give um a break. they are building a large loyal customer base.

Look, they even have pictures of their new data center on there site. Seems like a pretty elaborate scam to me

Here are the pictures if yea want proof. http://www.cyberwingsdc.com/

Look.. How many of you told your freinds about them. Mentioned or recommended them in some way? Right.... This is the "advertisement" stage. Im sure they will charge more in the future.

We will se, i only have 30 invested in um.

Nothing is automated over there, thats why they have delays.

For what its worth, I signed up to be a reseller (don't even know why, have never made a website) just so that I would be able to do something in the future with it. I am patient with them, since I have been with them for a long time (6 months) and know that they come through, sometimes it will take longer, but it is well worth the wait.

FWIW, I won a free lifetime plan I-5 on 6 June. (Or the night of the 5th, depending on your time zone, I guess.)

About 30 minutes after winning it, I emailed Shawn with the domain I wished to have hosted (9MMvs45ACP.com).

Received an email from Cyberwings on the 7th, with all the various PLESK, ftp, DNS, etc. information.

So less than 48 hours from start to "up and running." (Okay, this ignores the time it took the DNS changes to propagate across the Internet, but that delay has nothing to do with Cyberwings.)

My 2 previous hosting accounts with CW took nearly a month to be activated. And some upgrades I paid for last week probably won't be put into effect until next week. But hey, for $3.90/year, I'm willing to cut Cyberwings some serious slack on the whole promptness of activation thing.

I had bought a lifetime R1, and an I3. I got the email with my I3 info last night, and just now got my R1 setup stuff =)

Happy now, playing with PLESK, and waiting for the helpdesk to setup the private dns.

I signed up for one of the few remaining lifetime resellers before ithey sold out on monday and just got everything today...not bad.
If anyone doubts Cyberwings legitimacy they have ceased their sales until furthur notice and will not sell ANY
reseller accounts until July, after their new servers are running smoothly.

I signed up for one of their I10 accounts, which (according to the sale site) was "upgraded" to have 1GB disk space, and 30GB/month bandwidth. When they set it up, it shows 750MB space and 16GB bandwidth. I e-mailed them earlier this week about it but have not heard back yet.

You can't email them vetteguy. They have no email service. The addresses support@cyberings.com, sales@cyberwings.com etc. are bogus. Many of their pages explain this but some still list invalid email addresses. The only way to contact them is through the helpdesk. I have 4 accounts and none were setup correctly. All were fixed within 2 days of my helpdesk ticket except one that was only 90% fixed (fuzzy math?) and took another day with another ticket.

Service has been great for me until recently. Now I can't even upload more than a few small html files before their system hangs. That is of course if I can get in at all. Often the directory listing when just hangs when loging in. Their outage forum is flooded with threads about this and that being down and out day after day. Shawn wrote in one thread that the problem was due to a "misunderstanding" with rackshack. Just taking a wild guess, I'd say the "misunderstanding" was about MONEY.

I just got a setup email from one of the reseller accounts I bought. The latest news is that all the purchased reseller accounts are being emailed right now and have all been setup, they also mentioned to do a trouble ticket thing if you haven't gotten the setup email from a purchased email account. The accounts that were won will be setup in the next few days. So far things are looking good. Hopefully everything else will go smooth for me.

im glad they personly set up accounts.. i've at used like 10 hosts, and this by far blows all of them away.

it took 1 week to setup my account... not bad considering they just got a new data center.. plus my server is one of the new ones

What 's going on guys?. I have opened an account with CW on May 01. They already charged my credit card... but until now, one month and half later. I still don't hear nothing from them..i guess I 've been patient enough. I also sent them a couple emails..trying to set it up my account but all i got is: "we are trying to work on it".hmmmmmmmm for how long?

boyangel it's a 2 step process to set up a site with them. Did you do both? First you have to pay. Then you have to go back and give them the website name info so they can set it up
here. I have a $2 plan I setup with them on May 7 that has been up and running a couple of weeks now.
I find my site their hosting ok. Decent uptime. Mostly I use it for email and have little to no traffic or content on my site.

Can someone explain why this company has support and sales e-mail addresses listed on their site that they have no intention of answering?

Can't help you there. They've always and I mean always answered my emails within a couple days. Usually one day.
