(minus the backordered listing on newegg)
Yeah. I'm pretty disappointed as well.
Same. One on backorder and then set amazon to auto-notify in case they get it first. I suppose it's all well and good since motherboards are scarce too but I'm dying to get this build going. Oh well.
Which board are you looking at? I was originally considering the Maximus Hero, but since it went out of stock, I went with the ASRock Z370 Professional Gaming. I'll admit that I kind of got suckered in by the prospect of built-in 10GBase-T ... even though I have no other devices that support it. I was tempted to pick up this 32GB pack of Corsair DDR4 4000 as it's on sale for a pretty good price, but it isn't on the QVL.

Well, when I was contemplating Kaby Lake (I think in an earlier post I incorrectly said Skylake) a few months back I had been looking at the z270 Maximus Hero, so the z370 variety of that board was going to be a likely contender. I'm putting more money into this build than I have done with any previous ones, so I was kind of taking it a few steps at a time - was going to try and nab the cpu tonight and then knock out the motherboard, memory and video card late this week or next. Then move on from there. Looking at the empty case in the corner of the room is going to get depressing fast..
Pick it up QVL will be updated anyway.
ASRock has the M.2 on the front. ASUS has it on the back. That's an insta no buy on the ASUS for me.
One in the back. One in the front sharing the chipset heatsink (slots above the chipset, through the heatsink which is 2 pieces).I bought the Asus mITX. It actually has 2 M.2 slots. One on the front and one on the back. That's why I bought it over the ASROCK.
