Hello,
I'm running an Intel D865PERL M/B with a P4 2.8E and am using the onboard sound. I have 2x 512mb Apacer PC3200 memory modules and an MSI GeForce 4 Ti4200. I use the system for professional video editing (I am a special events videographer). Typically I use a Matrox RT.X100 capture card/real-time video editing accelerator, but I have pulled it from the system for troubleshooting (at about the same time the below problems began the video output from the Matrox card started to look a bit like a scrambled cable TV channel -green flashing and red/blue bands running diagonally across my NTSC monitor).
I have set the SDRAM Frequency to 400MHZ in the bios but during the post tests a message is displayed that a memory error was detected and bios settings have been reset to default which is auto for SDRAM Freq. After this the system reboots but the monitor goes into the sleep state (amber colored light). The only way to get the monitor to come out of its sleep state is to shut off the power to the system, re-seat the video card and power back-up. But then it freezes at random spots during boot-up. If I'm lucky it will boot into windows but won't last long there before things freeze up again. The system also hangs when I try to go into the hardware monitor in the bios. If I press ctrl-alt-delete though the system will reboot. It will never go to the hardware monitor screen though.
The SDRAM Frequency has been set to 400Mhz for a few months and been running fine up untill the last few days.
Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks,
Matt
