intel SSD DC s3700 availability

What is with the stock on DC s3700 SSD's? One week they are in stock most places, the next week they are out. This pattern has repeated for the last 6 months.

I'm waiting for a 15%-20% price drop, but that wont happen until people have extra stock laying around....

Keep in mind that the DC S3700 is an enterprise drive, meaning that most sales are B2B which is why you don't really find it in retail stores.

There is a shortage, with a number of letters from intel to VAR's already explaining the situation.
The great thing about the DC S3700 is that it IS available through regular retail outlets.
