Shens. I want proof. Post pics of your "degrees" with "A-T-O-T" mention (preferably towards me: homercles) and i will return in same. With BA, MA, Phd proof. Enjoy your relegation to obscurity.
MS in Physics. If you want more proof than that, then you'll have to pay me.
You should have spent more of your time studying biology, you seem to know little about it. There is a very good chance that life developed from simple molecules and gases, look at the experiment Stanley Miller did as a grad student over 50 years ago; that's how long we've had a good idea life evolved from simple molecules.
Right, I totally understand that life could have developed from simple molecules & gases. It however doesn't prove evolutionary theory in my book - maybe it does for others. Your call.
Aren't we already manipulating genes in vegetables to make them more colorful or something like that? Suppose the whole planet died today, and some alien started doing research on it. Are they going to say that the vegetable evolved to more appealing to those that want to eat it? We manipulated the genes for a purpose and I find it hard to believe that the genes of other life on this planet wasn't manipulated by some sort of intelligence to serve a purpose or design.
PS - I do have a MS in Physics and I don't need to provide proof to some of you that are probably pumping gas into my car
You're free to adopt this point of view but what would be the point? THis would be the equivalent of an early physicist observing the way objects move in the air then saying: "God probably had something to do with it, everytime an object is moving in the air, god is making it move. The atoms in our body? God is making them spin." when you use supernatural agencies to explain why natural phenomena are the way they are, you are violating the essence of science. ID/Creationism has zero predictive value. we can not anticipate what god will do to populations, animals, plants as environments change because we obviously can not predict the actions of god any more than a plant can predict the actions of man. how boring would physics be if we explained every force, every interaction as merely god and relinquished any effort of predicting the behavior of objects?
BUT, if we use natural selection as the mechanism of evolution, we can use it to predict how populations, gene frequencies, rates of evolution, shift with changing environments. We can observe these predicted changes within populations (albeit minute changes). It is the prediction of evolution that we can explain antibiotic resistant bacteria, prevelance of sickle cell in africa, immunity to smallpox of the colonial europe population but vulnerabilty by the native americans.
