Intellimouse 3.0 or MX510?

the mx300 and mx310 were both good mice (i couldn't really notice the difference between them)

thats cuz there was no difference, the 310 doesn't have a 510 sensor, it just has 1 more button then a 300. a tad convoluted yes. its the mouse for left handers mostly, since the two side buttons can't really be used together, they are there for dual hand compatibility.

as for the buttons i disagree, they are pretty useful. buttons above and below the wheel work perfectly as either page up/page down or end/home for scrolling pages quickly. the thumb buttons can be used as forward back/copy/paste etc. i gave away my mx310 and got an mx700, i just needed more buttons

yeah the mx310 has the same optical engine as the mx500 and mx700
but i thought the mx300 was a little slower

but yeah the mx310 has a different shape to it all together
