Hi,
I'm having a problem with my internet explorer. I can connect to the internet (wireless LAN) fine, I can use AIM, FTP, and even connect to websites by opening up my computer or a folder and typing an address in there. However when I load up internet explorer it won't open anywebsites. It says "can not open the serach page". In the bottom left, say i type in www.google.com, it will try to connect to www.www.google.com.com. I ran ad-aware, Norton anti-virus, 2 registry cleaners, and i looked through the registry and I can't see anything like blatantly wrong. I had a problem like this on my other computer (a windows XP one) and i found a registry key that replaced the http:// that IE puts in with ahttp:// http://www. i expect to find something similiar here, but I don't know where to find it (its windows ME and its not my pc, i'm fixing a friends).
any clue what I should do?
thanks,
Kevin
