Hello there.
I needed some advice and would appreciate help... I'm trying to decide between two internship options. I need to decide between a Singapore Airlines MRO facility in in Singapore versus a ThomsonReuters internship at the NYC Times Square office.
As an Industrial Engineering student who wishes to get into financial services eventually, I am trying to decide between the two internship options.. The Reuters internship would involve process improvement and some financial modeling and I would reporting to the Product Manager. The SQ role, on the other hand, would involve traditional quality control work at an Engine Maintenance shop floor and is not as structured as Reuters. The Reuters internship program is very structured and claims to provide ample visibility with the possibility of being able to convert to full-time upon graduation. The SQ program has hired two other interns and from asking past interns, it seems that they do give you responsibilities such as quality control checks and any other projects that might be ongoing, etc
I've been to both Singapore and NYC several times before so location wise, they wont be a "new" cultural experience,etc... Any advice would be appreciated.
