A bigot is a person who believes in something good like justice but has made an unconscious assumption that he or she knows what justice is when in fact what appears to be justice to them is really unconscious bigotry. The reason we say that you can tell a bigot but you can't tell him much is that he can't separate the obvious belief the person has that, in our example here, justice is good and not facing justice is bad, The bigot is right about that and that is all they can see because they are blind to how they misapply it.They deserve justice.. I fully support it.
But what one often forgets is.. lots of victims never get any justice, and of course they and their descendants are still very raw about it.
