iOS Restriction feature

Anyone uses this feature ? Basically you can turn it all on and it'll disable almost all the apps except basic feature.

i'm on ios 5.1 and i use this feature just when kids want to play with my phone.. so basically it'll hide all the games and porn, etc..

the issue is when i disable the restriction, all the icons default back and loses all the folder settings. I figure out I can back up before I know when kids are coming over and let them mess with the phone and do a restore when they leave..

would this fall under a bug? and also is it fixed in any ios after 5.1 ? i haven't upgraded my phone because of the apple map but would if restrictions does not mess up the icon when you turn it on/off

Not fixed as of iOS 6.1.2.

Not sure this is a bug: bugs are unintended. AFAIK, Apple does it this way for a reason. (Same with restoring backups/apps on iPads for classroom sets - none of the icon locations/groups are stored in the backup, so they just get dumped onscreen in the order they're reloaded.)

It's called get-a-real-computer.

iOS is designed pretty obnoxiously to be a one-device-per-user OS. Even the iTMS/App store licensing rules drive this home. (30 ipads for 400 kids? Sure, you only have to buy 30 copies of Angry Birds. But if you want an iBook, that'll be 400 Apple IDs and 400 copies of each title you work with, thankyouverymuch...)

What app did you use? I haven't heard this feature yet. You know, my iOS 5.1 is lacking of powerful features.
