I need to repair my iPad Series 8 Home button cable that got damaged while removing a shattered diffuser. The damaged part is the connector side of the cable. I want fix the cable using part of a different button cable to maintain the fingerprint ID function. Not all button cable assemblies for sale are the type that allow the connector side to be desoldered from the button side. Does anyone know what vendors sell cables that can be used for this purpose?
