IPAQ 5455 Synchronization

I cant seem to be able to synchronize the IPAQ 5455 with my PC. The cradle is hooked up via USB port. After installing ActiveSync, it does not seem to recognize my IPAQ which i have placed into the cradle. I have been trying to get it to work for the past half hour to no avail. Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated. THANKS.
