Ipod + FM

My GF picked up her new car today and it doesn't have a cassete deck to hook her Ipod into.
Who makes the best FM transmitter for use with it?
I have seen ones made by Griffin, MacAlly and Belkin, and there are probably others I haven't seen.

My buddies like the Belkin FM transmitter because it lets them dial in the exact frequency.

Don't get the iTrip if you live in a major metro area (LA). Impossible to find an empty frequency and even then sounds like poo.

The Belkin one bites the big one. It's waaay easier just to buy a tape adapter, because EVERY frequency sounds like junk. Fuzzy, nasty quality, even when you hold the damn thing right up to the antenna. I just use a headphone-to-RCA cable to play on my home stereo.

Tape adapters sound like Sh*t and fewer and fewer people have tape decks these days.Unless you live In LA or NYC you should have very little problem. It all depends where you live, In Tampa where I am FM transmitters Work with little or no interferance.

well, i guess to many ppl with new cars, a FM transmitter is the only choice. Most new cars don't have tape players or Aux in, and car manufacturers make it very difficult to install aftermarket audio systems. Maybe in the future everything can be linked wirelessly.

anyway, i bought a Monster FM transmitter at Fry's. It looks kind of sleek, and made by Monster so i supposed it's good quality. It works fine in my car, though sometimes there is interference, and you'll have to switch channel to find the best reception. It has 8 channels. cost me $50, too $$, might consider selling it. don't expect too much from a FM transmitter in term of sound quality though

Also do NOT use shuffle on your IPod if you have the Itrip tuning files loaded.
Your listening on 88.1 and all of a sudden the tuning file for 107.9 plays and you lose your sound.

This bad boy does not require FM so there is no static involved like other types (itrip, roadtrip, soundfeeder)
