ROTFL! If somebody told that to me, straight in my face, I'd be physically rolling on the floor laughing. Having 4GB Nanos out of stock in basically the entire greater Los Angeles area and they're not selling well? LOLOriginally posted by: Byte
Most places only sold 1/4 of their inventory, not wildfire burnt hotcakes as some predicted. Maybe i can get one for under retail and buy some cheesecake afterwards.

we still have white 4 gig ones
and look at it this way
2 gig PNY flash drive = 2 gig ipod nano
they're the same price but with the nano you get an MP3 player and picture viewer (just a little bit bigger)
i don't see how its overpriced
It's "overpriced" compared to other players. You're paying a premium for size, etc.

1/4? Sounds about right.
2 GB White
2 GB Black
4 GB White
4 GB Black
Everyone that is buying them seems to only be buying the last one. Mystery solved.

"We believe iPod nano is a great product and evolutionary step combining the best elements of iPod shuffle, iPod mini, and iPod photo, but we believe Apple may need to make some changes to ensure its success as a high-volume product," Wu added.
The analyst speculates that the iPod maker may need to slash the price of the nano by $50 if sales continue to under-impress. "
w00t! i may be in for one if they make that cut

More hyped up crap from Apple.
I do believe they have a good marketing department though. They are making the dough (good for them) but you would never catch me wasting money on an iProduct of any kind.
