i just connect my ipod from the headphone jack to the input on my cd player....

i have a jvc mp3 cd player... and it has an audio input for these types of devices.

Don't be mislead. Apple's 'price drop' is deceptive. The 4g's do not come some of the accessories that their same-sized predecessors included - remote, case, and dock (the 40gb does come with the dock). Each of these items sell for $39 each through Apple, so the savings isn't what it seems (of course, a better case can be found cheaper). On the plus side, they both now include the USB2 adapter, which sold for $19 previously (a non-issue for me because I have firewire courtesy of my Audigy2).

It isn't $30 off any ipod; it depends upon which ipod you get. about 2 weeks ago I bought a 15gigger at the local mac store with my educational discount, they knocked off $30... but for the ipod minis, you get $20 off... for the higher capacity ipods, the discount increases (40gig, you get $40, I think).

Also, the 15gigger with discount was $269, not $229. Perhaps it's $229 now from the price breaks? Im thinking to return mine and get a bigger one for less money...

Good deal for a new unit but I cant say enough that the refurbs are as equal to the new units. for those who are chicken schit feel free to buy the new units. Truth being told this is a hot deal even for Worstbuy

Sure Best Buy is the devil and all that, and Apple refurbs are as good as new, but instant gratification and no restocking fee are advantages of buying from the devil. You get charged tax either way.

ugh, a friend tried to buy an ipod @ bestbuy last saturday (wanted either a 20gb 4g or a mini)... those f*ckers tried to sell us an open box 15gb 3g for $250 that looked like someone took a cheese grater to the screen. what retards. i hate that store. i only buy from them when i can PM and i KNOW they're losing money on the deal.
