iPods at Target $339.99

Went over to the local (Downer's Grove) Target and picked up a MAC 10GB version for $279, signed up for Target card and got 10% more off. Then went to the Apple Store in Oakbrook mall and swapped unit out for a Windows Version.

Very sweet deal.

Yeah, the Archos AV140 won Best of Show in CES despite not being available until April. How can you win awards like this without being available? There should be rules against this. But it's available now, at least in Europe (Archos is a Euro company). I want one!

But I note that the list for the sexier AV340 (not till November) is around 700 Euros/Dollars, which is pretty steep. The Multimedia20 only lists for around 300 Euros/dollars and the AV140 for a hundred bux more. Pricey for an Archos, but cheap compared to an iPod. I know people in LA for whom the Archos video capability has proved invaluable - they get to show carry their reels around with them and show them at a moment's notice!
