Was at a friends house, had his kids do an IQ test, one is 13 one is 16.

They're decidedly very VERY average according to the test. I'll give em more time to try for a better score but otherwise a score of 99 and 102 is nothing to write home about. I thought they would have gotten somewhere around 110 mostly because their teachers said they were "smart" but lazy and don't pay attention. If having a 102 IQ is "smart" then I've spent a lot of time surrounded by dumb people because these kids seem "above average" though I might be giving them too much credit.

I think this is a fairly decent test though. I've taken a lot of online IQ tests over the years, the outliers I obviously ignore but otherwise I've noticed that a lot of the tests, the scores are all in the same range. I mean yes scores can vary by up to one standard deviation when you get into the higher score range of like 140. Tests can't be all that inaccurate, I've never gotten above 130 on any test, ever. After obtaining all the correct answers, I went back and analyzed the questions I got wrong, and it didn't matter how much time I spent on it, I never could figure out how they got to the answer they got, especially on this specific IQ test above. Seems like it's valid enough.

Doesn't change the fact that it's still just an IQ test.

A high score on an IQ test makes you "smart" in the same way that a high framerate in Battlefield means you have a "good" computer.

Reasonable online IQ test to a given value of reasonable.

Only tested spacial awareness which as far as I am aware makes up part of a proper IQ score. So your score will be heavily influenced by how good that part of your brain is.

The last 10 or so were pretty damn tough.
I wasn't 100% certain on any of them; they were all guesses.

108 for me, but I got frustrated and sped through the last 10. (the most important ones)

For point of reference folks... If you get the first 10 correct and skip the rest, you'll get a score of 92, if you get the first 20 correct and skip the rest, you'll get a score of 102 and if you get the first 30 correct and skip the rest, you'll get a score of 118.

If you're on the internet, and you're smart enough to finish the test, I think it's accurate to say you have a minimum IQ of around 80. It's not "perfectly clear" how to get the results of your test. It's not like a pop up comes up in the middle of screen asking you to go to your results. I know it's subtle and kind of stupid to even bring up this, but I think it's possible that's the author's intent. But assuming it ISN'T the author's intent, it's sort of difficult to test someone at the IQ level below 80 without wasting everybody's time.

27 was easy. I think I figured out 37 but not confident. I had to guess on the other 2. 36 came down to 2 choices for me. I couldn't see any pattern in 39 except that the like symbols were never all touching except diagonally. That left only one possible answer. Since I got 135 I am assuming some of the answers I gave for 36, 37 and 39 were not correct.

Just retook the test taking all same answers except switching to my other option for number 36 and my score went up to 138 so I guessed wrong on that one originally but was on the right track.

Went back again and changed my answer on 37. It didn't affect the score so I definitely got that one wrong.

Went back again and changed my answer on 39 and score went down so I got that one right on first pass.
