I have not used an abit since the bm6 days, do their current mother boards last as long as their old ones did, cause my bm6 is still going or should i go with a similar aopen or biostar?

Sorry Texun but the A7V266 is an Asus product.

I think Abit's unreliable stigma came when the capacitor problems arose about 5 years ago. Although not unique to Abit, they admitted the problem. Many other manufacturers did not. I've owned about 6 different Abit motherboards and all were just fine except a BH6, and all were pushed to their limits.
I've used their rma service on a couple of dead boards I had purchased. Everything was smooth and never paid a dime for anything capacitor related.
I'm ok with Abit
They now only use Rubycon capacitors which are supposed to be some of the best in the world.Originally posted by: Texun

I'm not sure where I read it, but I did see something about Abit moving to another vendor for their better quality caps since the fiasco. Nothing was mentioned about the others changing suppliers.
