Fox further proving what we already know. Fair and balanced indeed.
Nothing stopping you from watching a news station that feeds you what you want to hear instead.

I personally like hearing all the talking heads...when I am done listening to the idiots on MSNBC and CNN, I go listen to the idiots on Fox News.

Back on topic, Obama needs to keep extending the honeymoon period...while he remains wildly popular, his policies continue to drop in approval...eventually people will be able to determine that popularity should correlate to policy...for now, he might as well milk the celebrity angle for all its worth...he will need it for the shenanigans the Democrats are now attempting respective to health care.

Fair and balanced is its news network, which I am sure will carry it.. they are just not interupting their normal network when there will be 800 other stations carrying the speech if people want to see it.

He's using his popularity to really utterly ensure his policies are communicated and implemented. Can't blame him for leveraging that strength myself. It's also obvious that only the people who disliked him from the start are "annoyed" by this.

Considering you can't watch any given ten minutes of TV news without seeing a "Obama's First 100 Days" news story, I really don't see how it's unreasonable for Obama to want to control the messaging by leveraging his own popularity in this way.

If he swooped into the speech on a jet wearing a flight suit I might have reason to call him vain.

Nah, he was never in the Air Force (or even the Military). If he came in with a briefcase or a shovel he would be on par with Bush.

I don't see 3 press conferences being a big deal considering the tumultuous last few months. However, Fox is not biased in this case, they did this to Bush back in November, 2001 (yes this would be right after 9/11) according to some article. They are just money hungry, it's also worth noting that Fox News will be covering the press conference.

Of course, please feel free to continue the derailment into a bitter partisan thread.

CNN
) ? Fox Broadcasting Company announced Monday it will not carry President Barack Obama's prime time press conference marking his first 100 days in office,
The network will instead carry its regularly scheduled episode "Lie to Me"
Don't they run that program 7/24 on Fox?

Looks like "Lie to Me" will be on all the networks this time.

I'm curious how much TV time Obama has had compared to other (recent) Presidents. Seems to me he's always on. (I googled but found nothing relevent)

At some point I expect over exposure to set-in.

You can't watch 60 minutes without an interview from him every single sunday. It's downright nauseating. Genx87 has already covered what he's going to ramble and stutter constantly about.

More coverage than Bush and Clinton combined

During his first 50 days in office, the three broadcast network evening news shows devoted 1021 stories lasting 27 hours 44 minutes to Barack Obama?s presidency. The daily average of seven stories and over 11 minutes of airtime represents about half of the entire newscasts. By contrast, at this point in their presidencies George W. Bush had received 7 hours 42 minutes and Bill Clinton garnered 15 hours 2 minutes of coverage, for a combined total airtime five hours less than Mr. Obama?s.

The networks varied in their attention to the Obama administration. CBS led the coverage with 365 stories and 10 hours 46 minutes of airtime, followed by NBC with 327 stories and 9 hours 38 minutes, and ABC with 329 stories and 7 hours 20 minutes. Thus, CBS has given more coverage to the Obama administration than all three networks combined gave to the first 50 days of George W. Bush?s presidency.

The rambling and stuttering should be at a minimum. He does pretty well with a lot of time for prep and practice. The hasty and impromptu are his downfall. Quick on his feet he's not.

I saw him thank the FBI for 100 <days of service. Not good.
