Is CPUIdle Extreme worth it?

I've heard a lot about this program, CPUIdle Extreme, but I am wondering if it's worth the $30 price? Anyone out there using it? If it actually keeps my CPU cooler that would be great, but I would like to hear from anyone who has used it before I spend the money. Thanks.

Aren't there free programs that do the same thing?

They have a trial version on their website anyway, so you can try before you buy

I used the trial on my older abit NF7-S athlon xp 2500+ overclock, the temps got pretty high and CPUidle lowered them during normal usage. But then I found a patch for my nforce mobo by NGO that kept the temps low. It did the same thing so I uninstalled CPUidle. I tried it on my newer 64 3000+ overclock but saw no results.

Use Cool and Quite, it's free and how could it not do the same thing.
