I know that some people have gotten vouchers to gain access to Google+. For those of you who have, is it better than Facebook?
It's basically Facebook with more & more intuitive privacy controls. At the moment, the people on my circles are From facebook & Twitter.
In other words... better than face book?? :hmm:
I think Google+ will replace Facebook just like how Facebook replaced MySpace. I saw a report that showed that most Facebook users were VERY dissatisfied with the site, and that they disliked Facebook more than the IRS.
Less and less of my real life friends are using it, but it has such a huge user base it's going to take a good long time for it to really start to show. People I know are definitely getting bored of it or tired of the privacy BS. Google + will probably replace it in a few years and than in 2018 something will replace Google +.
lol you're full of shit or all your friends are paranoid potheads. (likely both)
Tons of people use facebook and have no reason to switch. Google+ has no reason to switch service except that it has a different name.
It's likely that it will have WORSE privacy issues than Facebook. I mean, it's fucking Google. It's EXCEEDINGLY likely they'll just auto-index everything you fucking say. Say goodbye to privacy.
You don't know what you're talking about. Google+ is specifically tailored toward making sure you have extensive privacy controls, as well as the ability to extract everything from your account if you want to leave. And also making it much easier and clear to remove yourself from the site.
I think its important Google+ fails and Facebook remains successful. Why? If Google became the pre-eminent social network in addition to their already incredible clout on the internet, they'd be a de facto internet dictatorship. Not good.
