K....if this works, prepare for THE MOST BORING THING EVER SHOT. :$

Plus, I could not turn Rachel off.....so there is also boring audio.

But NOT BORING TO ME.

I just spent obscene time making uTube account using a fake name and an address I never use, cause I learned IN Off Topic can not do embedded, must make uTube account and put link. And I refuse to not get this done.......and, if I can put proper link to this shocking, pathetic thing....it will be a personal triumph, however PITIABLE.:'rolleyes:

I NEED tech oriented PEOPLE TO SEE MY SICK MOUSE, and laugh like lunatics just as I am at the moment.:$

Do not move.

Edit: OMG! Finally! A FIRST DOWN...a mm at a time. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHH. I am pretty sure this is the most insane thing I committed to do so far in my life.

Take note of the OVERHEAD tracking SHOT. Needed a small crane to do that part. My asylum is putting this up for Best Short Docu with political audio. Its title is: SICK MOUSE, HEALTHY MOUSE, THE YIN AND THE YANG.

K....I have no soldering iron or solder for electronics. Not sure if I know how to replace one diode.....this issue centers on one blue diode.

Implemented New Plan: abraded the surface end of the LED strip portion which flickers and covered it with black LIQUID electrical tape. Helped considerably, but in the small space between the distal end of the scroll wheel and the mouse case, you can sitll see some flickering. Only one tiny diode.

I also considered black nail polish, but chose the former, cause nail polish is lacquer, and I felt the mouse would not like it.

But what I did did not fix anything. It only hid the problem.

I just wish they would start making these mice again....or Newegg might take them off their site instead of keeping them with banner saying not available.

Even the little teflon strips configured to the curves at either end on the bottom to achieve the usual elevation rock.

wow, honored just to be posting in this thread

Wow. Saw this and I was like deer in headlites.

Cause this is MOUSE OBSESSION BASED THREAD. Perhaps not for humans not mouse obsessed.

Meanwhile, do you know how to replace one tiny diode?

Kidding. Were that doable and simple, some diode pundit would have posted.

Wait! New thought, new question!

So, OK, the problem is the one, tiny blue diode. Now, if I can get in there with a tiny needle nosed pliers or something like that.....and smash the diode.....would that impact the other diodes?????

Sorry, trying to get a handle on the reality of LED diodes and circuitry......to find out, if I manage to smash the one bad flickering one if the whole little circuit will die. OR WORSE. I found this:

http://www.techdose.com/electronics/Wiring-Multiple-LEDs/226/page3.html

I do not understand this.

Edit:

WAIT! I jus found this! There are other mouse obsessed humans out there who fiddle with LED diodes!~ I wanna learn to do this stuff.

http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to--Change-the-How-to--change-the-LED-color-/

SEE THE VIDEO! But, that Dell mouse has a screw to open it. My mice---the ones in question-- have no screws at all. They are apparently snap together mice. Afraid to try to unsnap to get to tiny icb. Cause I might break off a little tab or omething.

Well, it seems I would need to get the usual for electronics tiny iron to solder. Assuming I could open mouse without killing it altogether.

My dad taught me to do silver solder.....but with big iron. I tried to do solders when trying to restore an old lappy I found with borrowed iron....and messed it up.
