Is my PS good enough?

I have a system that is getting rebuilt. It currently has an old Antec PP-303X 300W ps. See specs here.. I plan on replacing the memory, cpu, and mb with an Epox 8RDA+, Athlon XP 2500, and 512 of pc3200 ram. I also will be running a Maxtor 40GB hd, network, dvd. There won't be any extra hd's, scsi cards, etc.

Will this be adequate enough if I don't overclock? It will get upgraded in the next 6 months or so, but I have to upgrade now and am trying to trim costs. Thanks in advance.

AS long as u don't overclock you should be fine. But trust me that ps is getting long in the tooth. I switched mine out though.

Weren't those power supplies rated like #1 a few years back? Not sure how they compare to P/S's nowadays, though.

It should be fine if you don't have an overly demanding video card.

if you run @ stock speed maybe? that CPU and any new video card? can blow that PSU up!.... I would replace the PSU first!

symtoms of strugling PSU: blowing HOT air, freezing, reboots,under-volting, over-volting the hardware, blows up!
A 400 watt antec could not handle my OC on the 8RDA+ , I use a Topower 520 watt PSU and it gets warm, but I can OC the CPU much higher!

Thanks for all the replies. I forgot to mention the video card is an ATI Radeon 32 DDR. Relatively new, but not demanding by today's standards.

So the consensus seems to be I'll barely be ok. This is what I sort of expected, but wanted the assurance. Thanks guys.
