Now that school is over with, I decided to get back into some great gaming with WoW, BF2, CS:S, and CS. I loaded up BF2 and CS:S back on my computer, and tried playing them. CS:S was average at best. I got an average of about 60 fps when I put all video settings on low. These weren't even the recommended settings. I had to lower the resolution to 600 x 800, and I still couldn't get about 75 fps. I thought this was strange, but know that some previous updates have cause cs:s to be a bottleneck. I then looked to BF2. I again, had to set all the settings on their lowest option, and even then, the movement was so bad, it was unable to bring up the spawn map. Even if I would get to moving, I would press the arrows, and then about 10 seconds late it showed me ONE frame of movement, and then another 10 seconds and I would see a second frame. I didn't think this was right, so I ran 3DMark, and fould my score to be 5943. That is pretty good. I'm really frusterated because I bought these games, and would able to run all of them on HIGH settings and still maintain at least 95 fps. My PC is about 1.5 years old. It has a 6800 GT. What can I do to fix this?!?!?!?!?!?
