I AM a southerner, and if I remember correctly, Lincoln gave the south an altimatum of 13 days to move the slaves out of the south. I believe in the meantime, he blockaded southern ports with Union vessels to keep Soviet ships from reinforcing the south. Then something happens with Mexico, and the South launched an attack on the North. During the ensuing battle, there was serious damage done to the historic Mason-Dixon jail, and the White House was burned down.

I like the CSA First National flag better anyway. The Stars and Bars battle flag looks too much like a Union Jack (not that there is anything wrong with that - the HI state flag has the UJ on it.)

We're not flying a flag with a picture of Thomas Jefferson fvcking a little black girl on it. It's not a current issue. No one cares that it happened. The flag is the issue. It carries with it a message of hate, that many people find offensive.

Of course, anyone can find anything offensive. I don't see the need to cater to everyone's ever little need.
