Hello.
I've been having this ugly issue on my both computers and only always under Win 98.
Here what happens. As mouse, I use a cordless, ballless mouse that comes with my Wacom Graphire tablet. I call this mouse "Software mouse" cauz it really works only after special driver is loaded. I also think this mouse depends on CPU speed. Besides that, I have WinAMP always runing.
Here what happens under Win98. Everytime there is some heavy hard disk writing\reading thing going on, WinAMP and mouse go jerky, jumpy etc. And not only WinAMP. even when windows starts you hear that "Welcome sound", this sound goes jerky cauz there is a lot of hard disk opperations going on.
now, I NEVER have this issue under W2K. No metter how heavy the load is, mouse is always smooth and music plays fine. I've noticed that even when I use regular mouse udner Win98 on one of these systems, same stuff happens. Is also happens, when I browse the WEb . When same page starts to load, music and mouse sometimes stop for a second.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
