Here is the setup as is:
MB: Asus A7S333
CPU: AMD XP 2000+ 1.6GHz
Heatsink: Thermaltake TR2-M3 @ 2600 RPM
So I just put this new heatsink (TR2-M3) on thinking it would fix a problem I was having before where the pc was restarting due to what I thought was overheating (the CPU temp. was hitting like 72-74 C). So after installing the new heatsink i boot into the BIOS to watch the temp. with the hardware monitor. The temp. started out at 40 C but kept climbing to 57-62 C.
From my experiences isn't that a little bit too high? Or is that normal for a setup like this?
