Is this too hot?

Whenever the temps in my house get to around 80-84 F, my CPU temps jump to about 156-158 F. Now, I'm not sure how hot is considered too hot, but that scares me. My wires are extremely clean, they are not strewn all around the case. The processor has what I believe to be a Zalman heatsink on it, the one that has no fan attached. The fan is a 92mm fan mounted on one of those bracket things. I only have one case fan that is on the side panel, but extra slots are: 2 80mm fans in the back, one 80mm blowhole slot in the top, and room for a 120mm in the front. Are the temperatures too hot? How can I remedy the situation?
UPDATE:
I found a link to the heatsink.

You are running at about 70 degrees celsius. I believe for Athlon XPs under 50 is optimal and at 85 you will fry your processor.

Here is an idea fan setup...
front fans pull into the case
back fans blow out
side fan pulls in
top fan blows out

At the very least you should have front and back fans going, so that you have an airflow in your case and the processor heat has somewhere to go. If you're worried about noise, I have 6 case fans all rated at 28.8 dBA and my case is practically silent. (something my roommate appreciates very much)

You should be able to cool that down quite a bit without adding a lot of case fans. Something must be wrong. First, are you sure what components you have -- is this a system you put together yourself or something you bought. I ask because some less reputable vendors will put a slower speed CPU in and then overclock it without telling you. Make sure the CPU fan is circulating air in the correct direction (I don't know if it should blow air towards or suck it over the Zalman HS. Check the docs.), and is mounted the correct distance from the HS.
You can also pull the HS off and redo the thermal grease. There may be too much, not enough, or some similar problem.

Zalman's should have the fan blowing on the heatsink. You mention you "have room for" a 120mm fan up front. If you have room for one, but don't have one, get one. Set this fan as an intake and the 80mm fans on back as exhaust. That should get some cooler air into your case and lower temps a good deal. However, if your PC is stable, I wouldn't worry too much. Though 70C is a bit high.
