I agree with you on this one. I paid for my copy of XYZ. As long as I don't sell it or make "profit" or "gain assets' off of it somehow, my moral compass says I'm good to go.

I own a legit copy, but I use the Corporate edition, I can't be bothered with activation.

I have a dualboot now of linux and [another os]. I voted linux. Whether or not my version of [another os] is legit is not something I would think I should leave a record of, if indeed it was not legit which I make no claim to whatsoever.

 

I have a legal copy of XP Pro, but I use XP Pro Corp.

I run XP Pro, two copies of OS 10.3.3, and two copies Debian Linux. All legit.

Yep, got it through University. Heck between my brother and I we have 3 legit copies of WinXP, 3 of each variety of Win2K (profesional, server, advanced server) and 2 copies of each variety of Win2k3 (incl. the Itanium edition) all of which cost us only the CDs they're burned on. You gotta love being a student
