yes, that's idea is true. There is no war, yes bomb. What I mean only to target children. Here you have the crime of Palestine because; Hamas is an organization and Palestinians chose them so they have to bear the consequences. What do you think that can By Hamas ?

So your plan is for Israel to just patiently suffer the rocket attacks without any retaliation until the Palestinians finally admire their stoic heroism and sue for peace? Is that what you tell your children? If someone punches you in the mouth, don't fight back lest you make the attacker even angrier?

Until both sides stop acting like the Hatfields and McCoys the endless cycle of violence will continue. Unfortunately there are leaders in the Palestinian community whose "power" is based primarily on keeping the conflict going. I also think there are some in Israel who also behave the same way but it is more prominent on the Palestinian side of the conflict.

I don't think Israel has any issue with this status quo. They are the superior military power and I bet they see the Israeli loses as acceptable. In the long term, I don't see how Peace is good for Israel.

I don't necessarily see how a functioning Palestinian state is bad for Israel if they're disarmed and not hostile, but likewise, they've really got nothing to lose with the status quo (outside of a doomsday scenario where Hamas acquires a nuke or something)

The US gives Israel ~US$6 billion/year for weapons. If there were lasting peace, Israel would lose the subsidy.

I share your outrage.

Jews were the victims of extreme brutality in the last century, and before. This extraordinary unequal conflict shames both them and ourselves for being so ineffective in preventing this terribly one-sided slaughter. It is sick-making.

To fire on hospitals and schools where thousands of civilians are sheltering is appalling.

Israel is an artificial nation, created by subterfuge, to drive-out the local Palestinian population so that the land could be transferred to Jews who had been terrorised in Europe. Alas, in order to achieve this 'transfer', all manner of lies were told and myths were generated, to excuse the dispossession of the Palestinians.

Israel refers to the Palestinians as 'terrorists". This is extremely hypocritical given that Israel came into being by the use of terrorism and ethnic cleansing.

Fortunately, the true history is available. It is written by a very courageous Israeli professor.

His work is supported by many other Jewish writers:

This war will not end until the USA stops funding Israeli armaments.

The reason that America is involved is that in 1948, president Truman needed Jewish votes to win in California and secure his re-election. He was not particularly pro-Jewish either. Read the book on Truman by John Snetsinger. Truman recognised Israel within 14 minutes of declaring itself the "Jewish National State".
He then went back to sleep, secure in the knowledge that he would win. The fate of the Palestinians was sealed.

Before that, America was actually quite antisemitic. In 1939 the USA turned away a ship, the MS. ST. Louis carrying 900 German Jews. The ship went back to Europe and many of those Jews were gassed in the Holocaust.

And why are the weapons needed? Because Israel, since existence, has constantly been under attack by other states and organizations supported by hostile states.
