[Issues Fixed] Scrambled NewEgg

Well this is just great -- my NewEgg account page is scrambled up. If I try to go to Order Info --> Order Status, I get a FireFox error: "The page isn't redirecting properly". If I go to Order Info --> Order History/Print Invoice, all I see is someone else's eVGA 8800 GT order from a week ago, not the long list of my own past orders :frown:.

Yes, I'm using the correct NewEgg URL . No, a 8800 GT has not been charged to my CC (but hey, if one were to show up on my doorstep...).

EDIT: Just so no one reading this thread for the first time gets alarmed, the Egg has since fixed the problem. So no need to worry (unless you happen to have been one of the few unlucky saps that had their order info exposed ).

It's not just you. I'm experiencing the same problem, and I know other people are experiencing it also(http://www.eggxpert.com/forums...howThread.aspx#218290). Hell, everyone could be experiencing this for all I know.

This is a very serious issue, as other people are getting access to invoice lists from different customers. These invoices contain complete name and address information for the people who ordered them.

Please report this to Newegg Customer Support ASAP because this is a big breach of privacy. Hopefully everyone will log on Newegg and check to see if they are having this problem (go to account information and look and invoices and RMA info and see if the information pertains to you), and report the problem if it exists.

I just chatted up a NewEgg chat helper guy (Travis). He seemed unaware of anything unusual. But I may simply have been the first person to contact him with this problem.

@ Capt Caveman - I did. Didn't help.

I sent an e-mail to customer support linking images of customer information that didn't belong to me. Hopefully, they'll take this seriously.

At least everyone isn't experiencing this problem. Hopefully the problem is only affecting a minimum number of people to keep the amount of customer information being sent to a low level.

Maybe it's only happening to customers who've made recent purchases? The 4 pages of invoices on my account are fine but then again, I haven't made any purchases in almost a year.

I placed an order around October 20th (can't remember the date exactly and can't get my information off NewEgg lol).

I got the same 8800GT in my invoice list.

Maybe NewEgg is buying everyone video cards for Christmas!

BTW, when I clicked on the invoice itself I got the message "There has no info about this invoicenumber 30484328". So I think they may be working on it.

I see the same eVGA 8800 in my list of orders from last week and none of my own orders.

I get the exact same error, jamautosound. I was half hoping to see my own address listed in the invoice . Free 8800GT for moi, for the whole Cyber Monday fiasco. Sadly, it's not to be.

I had the 8800gt for a while, now I have a longer invoice list. The first one has some guys contact information; still a major problem going on at NewEgg.

On a good note, they just processed my RMA.

Same problem. My latest invoice is from a random person across the United States, and the rest of my invoices (including one for my 8800GT) are either completely gone or state "There has no info about this invoicenumber xxxxxxxx."

They need to shut the site down immediately, imho. I can see other people's addresses, phone #s, and other private info.

EDIT: Oddly enough, I went to the second page and it's everything that I've ordered. Not sure if NewEgg is listing everything that I've ordered since I've joined, I'd have to check.

Actually thinking about it, I believe I ordered a HDD from them relatively recently (2-3 months ago) and that one isn't showing up. The last order I see on there is from last November for an 8800GTX.

This Matthew M person is probably not too happy right about now. (I'm seeing his invoices too.) As for his 3800+, I think he requested an RMA label for it .
