I just Side graded to a pci-e / 939 set up. im currently running 1 x gigabyte 6600GT, a winchester 3200+ on the a8n sli mobo, with the rest of the bits that were in my signature.
My power supply is a HIPER 350w psu that complies to ATX v1.1 a 2.03 spec.
Obviously the first problem witht this board was that it has the newer 24pin PSU plug, whilst my PSU has the 20 pin. A bit of looking around though suggest to me that 20 pin can be used, and sure enough im writing this post on said rig now.
HOWEVER, there are some issues. When i install the nvidia firewall software, in xp pro, i get the blue screen of death. futhermore, when i try to reinstall xp 64 bit, it blue screens as well. Im wondering if my power suplly is leting the side down a bit?
any thaughts?
