Go to icloud.com and login using her login info. From there, remotely lock the ipod and then put a message on it and put a password on it that only tou or yoir daughter would know. If you don't get it back, at least youll know that they can't do anything with it
Bad advice for reasons I've already stated in this thread. Too late for OP, though. He already did that. The thief was forced to wipe it, which means the iCloud account is no longer associated with it and he'll never get an update.Go to icloud.com and login using her login info. If it is ever connected to the internet it will show last known location...
My 14yo daughter iTouch 4g she got for Xmas was stolen at her high school. The curious part of the ordeal was it happened in the girls locker room. She said someone broker her combination master lock and took the iTouch and the lock. She is so bummed and could not sleep all night. I told her hope she learns her lesson that there are thieves ou there.
Anyway I can track her iTouch? .
I hate thieves
I think all they have to do is go into settings and just disable the GPS on the device. After that they are good to go and find my iphone will not pick up the location.
Only hope is getting the police involved, and checking with accounts for last used IPs.
Then you use that IP with the ISP to trace it to the address, and bingo, you know the place it's been used at last.
If the thief knows how the internet works, he'll not connect that thing to the net, before having reset the device. Still, it's pretty much your only hope.
