It was a creative card, IIRC. I wonder if a google search would give any results from way back then.
The GeForceDDR launched @$299- I picked a Herc model up at launch and paid $319 for it(it was clocked at a whopping 130MHZ versus the rest which were 120- 10MHZ may not sound like much but it was close to 10%- that was the last nV board I purchased). The GeForce2 GTS launched @$299 also, the GeForce2 Pro launched @$399 and the GeForce2 Ultra launched @$499. You can check if you like, but those were the actual launch prices.
Oh yeah- the Obsidian x24 was $600 and that came out prior to the TNT2. $500 for a vid card isn't anything new at all.
Actually, that does sound right. I had forgotten that I purchased my Herc (Geforce DDR) at cost, which was like 247 at the time. I don't even remember the Geforce 2 Pro, but now that you mention it, it does ring a bell. I still don't remember the Geforce 2 Ultra ever selling for 500, but I guess my memory is wrong on that.
