Yes I'm lovin' mine. Put over 200 miles on her last Sunday. Hoping to go out again tomorrow.

They're Vance & Hines Big Shots Long.

I also have the Stage II Big Bore Kit and 203 cams on her. She's a screamer.

I have just over 900 miles on her so far.

NICE.
How does it sound?
How do you like the Tallboy? I'm 6'5" and am interested in that seat. I'm also waiting on an extension kit for foot controls to come in I ordered a week ago. Only other mod on the bike so far are the chrome wheels in lieu of the stainless.

It's a nice semi-loud low rumble at idle and cruise, and she rocks the world when I open her up. The V&H "Quiet Baffles" that I added really tame the sound down just enough that she's not obnoxious. She's still louder than the Harley SE mufflers, but no where near straight pipes. Think of the sound Glass Packs on muscle cars and trucks make.

I'm 6' and the Tallboy REALLY stretches me out on the bike. You should like it. My HD dealer let me try it out before I bought it. It's a great seat, but I'm not really thrilled with the looks. Though, the bike gets just as much attention since I put it on, so I guess it didn't kill the looks.

I'm planning on buying a Mustang Wide Touring saddle with the removable backrest sometime this summer for longer trips.

Yeah, the new Profile Laced Rims are great, aren't they? It's nice to have spoked rims that don't turn a dull gray.

Cool I'm glad you're enjoying your deluxe I feel the same way about the seat. I think I'd love the way it stretches you out, but not too keen on the look either. Although, I was worried about it putting me "on top" of the bike instead of "inside" it. I'm going to wait and see what the forward control extension kit does to my legs, then decide whether I'm going to drop the $300 on the Tallboy.

When you get a chance, would you mind posting a shot with the Tallboy installed?

Thanks for the info, keep the rubber on the bottom and have fun!

Will-do. I may go for a ride today if it warms up enough and the wind isn't too brutal. If I do, I'll bring along the digicam and get some shots of the bike.

The tallboy only raises you 2 inches. It's just enough to open up the space and make you feel not so cramped anymore.

Let's face it. Harleys are made for average height people (5"8-5'10"), and the Deluxe's seat and pull back risers were made for shorter than average folks. My legs are cramped on just about any stock Harley. I can't imagine what you feel like.

She's doing great!

I'm going for a short ride today, too.

It's in the high 50s and windy, so it's just an around town ride today.

If I remember, I grab the digicam and snap a shot with the tallboy seat on her for you.

These are the most recent pictures, but it actually looks quite different right now, it's got a Memphis windshield now with a far less ugly mounting bracket for when I ride without a shield. I've also got a bunch of new chrome bits on her. Mirrors, driver and passenger footpegs, grips.

Finally got one outside the local watering hole. That's the GF's Shadow behind my bike.

http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/Amused/IMG_0451.JPG

Nice I have to say, I think it looks better actually installed, than when I first started looking at it in the catalogue.
I've recently installed the extension kit on the foot controls. It moved floorboards, gear shifter and rear break forward about 2". Feels much better. I might get that seat in a couple weeks.

Oh and grats on having a GF that rides, that's cool Mine hasn't worked up the nerve to ride with me yet.

Anyway stay cool!

Lately we've been staying cold. [shiver] Supposed to warm up here this week, though.

Can you take some pics of the extention kit installed?

Yeah, she loves to ride. She wanted a Harley but I figured she should spend a few seasons on a cheaper bike first. I'd rather she drop a $3000 used Honda than an $18,000 Harley. It's not that I don't have faith in her. But EVERYONE drops their first bike.

When I get home I'll take a few shots of the kit. It's done very well, you'll need to have a stock set-up on hand to see the difference. But me being long legged, I can totally tell when I'm on it.

Got a Harley catalogue? item # 49163-91. Page 347 in the latest catalogue in Softails.
It was $199 for the kit. All that's involved is replacing shifter and brake mounting plates, extended shift rods & lever, rear brake hose. All that stuff comes with the kit. I did run into a snag though. I was scared to bend the break line properly to fit after installation. I ended up taking it to a Harley mechanic to install it. I could see myself bending the line, and snapping it. They recommend buying an extended braided line, but it's not needed, as the guy used my stock one and it looks fine. Still 100% warranty.

Hey I wanted to ask you. Do you use the heal shifter? It kept getting in the way, so I uninstalled it. (Old bike didnt have one)

Later!

Nope. I tried using it a few times but I've been a toe flipper for 20+ years. It just comes naturally.

But it doesn't get in the way so I just left it on. WTH, it looks pretty.
