My wife just upgraded from her starter bike to a much larger one. She was driving a 125cc Kawasaki Eliminator and upgraded to an 800cc Kawasaki Vulcan Classic.

I still have my nearly 20 year old (it was only 10 years old when I bought it) Yamaha Virago 700. As you can tell from the pics, I've put lots of custom chrome pieces on it and she still runs smooth after all these years. You wouldn't know it, but it was totalled out at one point by my friend's father and I rebuilt it with the insurance money.

Pics (the wife was watching Desperate Housewives, so no pics of her)

Indeed. When I finish my college degree, I get my pick of any bike I want. Hope they still have brand new Harley V-Rods by the time I finally get done with it.

I don't have a motorcycle, but I've wanted a Suzuki SV650S for a while now.

Apparently suzuki's site doesn't allow direct linking to that page, so try going to this page, and clicking "sv650s".

Nah, it's product literature from the Kawasaki website. The wife is much, much better looking, trust me.

PS-I won't be scorned or satarized into posting pics of her either.

What? A V-Rod's not a real Harley, right? Is that what you were going to say? C'mon, spit it out!

you don't know what you're talking about.

rogue, i love the style of bike like yours. does that genre have any sort of name associated with it?

The old bike, a little worse for wear
The new bike

The Viragos have been describer as "chopper-ish" but it's just a cruiser, that's all. If the front were raked out a little further, it could damn near pose as a chopper though.

slow?

sorry I could not resist.

I've scared myself on a CBR1100XX before (got up to 120 MPH in 3rd gear in about 5 seconds or so). I'd buy my uncle's if he were selling it tomorrow, but that's about it for crotch rockets for me. I can push my Virago pretty hard, besides, I crave acceleration over top end speed and the V-Rod and even my lowly Virago do more than enough of that for my tastes.

I won't express my views on Harley Davidson so lets just leave it at that...I do respect fellow enthusiasts though.

I crave acceleration too, we have that in common.
