California is accounted for. This is a race for specific states. No sane human being ever thought Bush would win California so it doesn't really count towards one choosing whether or not to continue watching. At least I hope not.

I think the only states that matter now are Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania. We pretty much know the outcome of the other states. NH could switch over to Bush (It's very close).

I doubt we will find out who wins Ohio till tomorrow. I'm still watching to see what goes on in Ohio. They just showed a line of people still waiting to vote.

BTW Arkansas shouldn't have been called IMO. It's kind of close.

Unless there was a spectacular screwup in the exit polls, NH will definately stay Kerry. Kerry had a 9% lead in the exit polls, this is well beyond the margain of error.

i stayed up until about 2 or 3 am in 2000

i am working until ~ 11:45 pm and will listen on the radio on the drive home

i'll play some online poker and listen for a while after getting home before deciding how late to stay up

Ohio has only about 50% reporting so far. Florida has almost 90% but the heavy hitter democrat counties are the only ones left to report.

All the called states are exactly like 2000.

Except NH (4EV) about 50/50 right now.

If the rest of the states fall the way they did in 2000, which is the common belief, who ever wins NH will get to the required 270..

No way Kerry takes Florida given that he is 250,000 votes back with only 10% left to report. Pretty much does not matter what happens in Ohio as all other states will shake out as expected....

Kerry gave it a good run, but its over. The networks know it - you can tell by the way they are reporting, but they don't want to call yet.
