Exactly

there's still some hope for Ohio.

they were saying on tv that more rural districts have reported than urban; the urban vote could easily swing the state to kerry's side.

Hmmm - maybe this ain't over....

Florida is Bush's
Ohio still has many dem county's left to report - lets give it to Kerry for fun

The only remaining state that seems to be flipping at the last minute is New Mexico - if it goes to Bush as it looks right now, he wins with slightly over 270 electoral college votes...

Ohio looks very close, but Bush will pull it out because there aren't enough dem votes in Cuyahoga County to cover the spread.

It's all over.

Bush won.

It was another great fight.

Lots of new voters and democracy given a shot in the arm.

It's tough to beat an incumbent war president. 9-11 gave him the nod, like it or not.

Congratulations, George Bush.

Senate looking more conservative... about 53 Rep, 46 Dem and 1 Ind...and that's not counting Daschle, who will probably lose.

I hate Daschle with a passion. I couldn't care less if every other seat in our political system was filled by a Dem, as long as Daschle was beat. So, that makes me happy. (And I'm certainly exaggerating)

Looks like Ohioans were brainwashed well and went Bush.

However CAD's Iowa is still out and a good Kerry possibility along with MN and MI.

Along with Oregon looking very strong Kerry it is very possible for Kerry to pull it off

The above scenario would tally out:

Kerry 290 Bush 245

That is with Bush winning Ohio and Florida but losing States like MI, MN, Iowa and Oregon.

Did anyone think that Bush would have done better in DC? Or does DC always vote against the sitting president (or for a democrat)?

You'd find that DC doesn't support Republicans for President. Never has never will.

And not only that but the winning % in FL and OH are looking to be @ 5% witch if holds true and Bush wins those states there will not be any kind of legal challenge to over come that margin.

I agree with others that this is over. I was going to this thread myself a little while ago, but I figured it would get locked. Bush has got Florida, and I don't see OH falling enough to go to Kerry. He may make it closer in both, but he simply cannot win them at this point. If NH or MN/WI/IA/HI go for Bush then it is doubly over for Kerry. Why the fsck did they have to pick the WORST candidate in the world to face Bush? All the fault of the primary voters...

Um, Dave? Bush is at 210 without Ohio, Florida, and Colorado. Tack those 3 on and he has 266.

Especially when you consider that the absentee ballots in FL won't be counted until sometim Thursday - those typically run heavily Republican.

I was in the 'It's over' camp earlier but now I'm not so sure. 266 doesn't win an election and there's a lot of states that I thought Bush was going to win based on 30% that are now in Kerry's favor (Michigan and Wisconsin to name two).

Don't bother correcting Dave, he'll just point out your brainwashed. See, if you don't agree with him, your the problem.
