Where are you seeing 82%, I've been watching here.

If Ohio ends with less than 150,000 votes separating Bush and Kerry, it will be a week until we find out who won... all the re-counts, provisional votes and crap will take some time.

Even if OH goes Bush, that's only 266EV's, no way in HELL MN will go red and I seriously doubt MI will either. NV is leaning slightly Kerry at this time. OK Fox just gave OH to Bush

For some reason, Yahoo! has the results quicker.

Bush is going to get Alaska hands down and almost certainly New Mexico - that does it.

Why do the Dems still have a chance with Ohio? Is there any reason to think Bush won't hold his lead?

it's over.

hopefully the Dems will use the next 4 years to realize that the party is in serious need of some change. IMO, Kerry didn't deserve to win. His campaign was pretty pathetic until late-September/October.

but having two branches of the government controlled by one party is pretty damn depressing.

Well, CNN and MSNBC are holding off on calling OH for Bush right now. Methinks Fox could be jumping the gun?

They would have to really sell out their ideals to get more votes it seems like. The people voting for Bush are hard-core and it appears that its mainly a matter of social conservativvism. The only thing that's going to change all this is the influx from south of the border...

I think New Mexico just gave it to Bush.... (assuming Bush has Ohio, which looks pretty solid).

Game over?

True, but c'mon, I mean California, NY, Illinois and Texas? Give me a break. I called those states last year! Guess what, I was right too.

Just couldn't sleep over here in the uk - no one wanted to call this so I looked at CNN - great to be able to see the precinct returns, which have shown for a while that Cuyahoga could not outweigh Bush's lead.

BTW, Americans are crazy to have voted Bush but most of you know that .

Looks like the gap just dropped 40,000 votes with 86% now being reported in OH (MSNBC)

Don't forget about absentee and provisional ballots. Provisionals may not be counted until as late as Dec.
